PLUGIN DOCUMENTATION

Cashapp Payment Gateway

Accept Cash App in your WooCommerce checkout. One tap opens Cash App with your $cashtag and the order total already filled in, and the order note is ready to copy.

QUICK START

Set up with confidence.

These guides cover the safest path from download to a tested storefront. Menu names can vary slightly between plugin versions.

GUIDE 01

Install and activate

Get the gateway running on your WooCommerce store.

1

Upload the ZIP

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the downloaded ZIP and click Install Now.

2

Activate and license

Activate the plugin, open its license screen, paste the key from your WP Honcho account and save.

3

Open the settings

Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments and open CashApp.

GUIDE 02

Connect your Cash App account

Tell the plugin where customers should send money.

1

Enable the gateway

Turn on the gateway and set the Checkout Title and Checkout Description customers see.

2

Add your cashtag

Enter your Cash App Cashtag without the $ (for example johnsmith, not $johnsmith). Add a Cash App Name so customers recognize who they are paying.

3

Choose order processing

Manual keeps new orders On Hold until you confirm payment. Automatic moves them straight to Processing.

GUIDE 03

Instructions and automation

Make payments easy to find and easy to confirm.

1

Customize the note

Edit the Payment Note Template. {order_id} and {site_name} are replaced for each order.

2

Where instructions appear

Keep Email Payment Instructions and Order Details Integration on so customers can find the details again. Enable the shortcode to use [cashapp_payment_instructions] anywhere.

3

Optional webhook

Enable webhooks, generate a secret key and follow the in-plugin guide to forward Cash App payment emails through Zapier’s Email Parser. Matching payments update the order to the status you choose.

BEFORE YOU LAUNCH

A five-minute confidence check

  • Back up the site or test on staging first.
  • Confirm WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP meet the plugin requirements.
  • Test the complete customer journey on desktop and mobile.
  • Check transactional emails and the WooCommerce order record.
  • Keep the license active for updates and compatibility fixes.
