PLUGIN DOCUMENTATION

Zelle Payment Gateway

Accept Zelle in your WooCommerce checkout. Customers see your Zelle email or phone, the exact amount and a ready-to-copy order note, plus the Zelle QR code from your bank.

QUICK START

Set up with confidence.

These guides cover the safest path from download to a tested storefront. Menu names can vary slightly between plugin versions.

GUIDE 01

Install and activate

Get the gateway running on your WooCommerce store.

1

Upload the ZIP

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the downloaded ZIP and click Install Now.

2

Activate and license

Activate the plugin, open its license screen, paste the key from your WP Honcho account and save.

3

Open the settings

Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments and open the Zelle gateway.

GUIDE 02

Add your Zelle details

Tell customers exactly where to send the payment.

1

Enable the gateway

Turn on the gateway and set the Checkout Title and Checkout Description customers see.

2

Email and/or phone

Enter the Zelle Email Address, the Zelle Phone Number, or both, exactly as they are registered with Zelle. Add a Zelle Name so customers recognize the recipient.

3

Optional QR code link

In your banking app, create a QR code for receiving Zelle payments, scan it with another device to get the link, then paste it into Zelle QR Code Link.

GUIDE 03

Order handling and automation

Choose how orders move once customers pay.

1

Pick a processing mode

Manual keeps new orders On Hold until you confirm payment. Automatic moves them straight to Processing.

2

Customize the note

Edit the Payment Note Template. {order_id} and {site_name} are replaced for each order.

3

Optional webhook

Enable webhooks, generate a secret key and follow the in-plugin guide to forward Zelle payment emails through Zapier’s Email Parser. Matching payments update the order to the status you choose.

BEFORE YOU LAUNCH

A five-minute confidence check

  • Back up the site or test on staging first.
  • Confirm WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP meet the plugin requirements.
  • Test the complete customer journey on desktop and mobile.
  • Check transactional emails and the WooCommerce order record.
  • Keep the license active for updates and compatibility fixes.
